Our story begins off the coast of Napoli…
Passion for good food and wine runs deep in our heart. In 2015 Simona Sarpa moved from Napoli, Italy to let Tampa Bay taste a little piece of Neapolitan tradition in a kitchen inspired by her Grandparents pizzeria/rosticceria Pizzicato at Piazza Municipio Napoli and family of the famous Pasticceria (Pastry shop) Poppella founded back in 1920 in the popular area “Rione Sanita” Napoli, she follows the tradition of the Neapolitan cuisine passed down through the generations.
The Sogna Napoli kitchen relies mostly on imported products from Italy to meet the authenticity of the Neapolitan cuisine. The centerpiece of the kitchen a large artisan handcrafted italian brick oven build in Italy from the famous biscotto di Sorrento stone to perfectly cook the Neapolitan style pizza. 00 flour and the dough leavened for 48 hours results in pizzas with soft crust and beautiful airy pockets that add a delightful crunch.
